Stuart Munro

Hi, I’m Stuart, and I am the treasurer of the BVLGBT+ group. I’m a vet by background, having qualified from Edinburgh, and these days I split my time between academia and occasional locum work. I’ve since completed an MSc in anthropology and botany and am currently working on a PhD in the same field. I’ve also been involved with Vetlife for many years as a helpline volunteer and helping to train new volunteers, which has been a really rewarding part of my journey in the profession.

I live in London with my husband and our two cats. Getting involved with BVLGBT+ has been one of the highlights of my professional and personal life – Pride events and our regular get-togethers have brought friendship, connection, and support. It’s been amazing to find such a warm, welcoming community, and it’s a real privilege to now serve as treasurer and give something back.
